Edward "Edik" (Ilya) Nerenburg, 64, died in Claremont, NH, on November 11, 2012, after a short illness. He was born on September 13, 1948, in Lviv, Ukraine, the son of Simon and Rosa Nerenburg.

He was a long-time resident of Claremont and worked at Sturm Ruger in Newport, NH.

Edik enjoyed studying foreign languages and learning about different cultures. Although not formally Orthodox Christian, for a number of years, he attended Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Claremont, NH, where he had many friends and where he was baptized a few months before his passing. He had an open, amiable, and warm personality and was a little bit dandy with good taste in clothing. He liked to tell stories and jokes. He was a strong man, a hard worker, and enjoyed his life until he developed sudden and treacherous illness. He fought it as long as he could. Memory eternal, dear Edik!

He is survived by two sons, Mark and Steven; two grandsons, Gabriel and Cameron; and a sister, Emma Nerenburg.

Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Meyer David area, in Claremont, NH.
